What is ArtGumiDAO?

A streak of introverted art friends who are the best at their crafts coming out from their caves to support each other & do fun things together in Web3.

ArtGumi was founded on 1st October 2021, originated as an NFT/Web3 study group of traditional artists in Osaka.

ArtGumiDAO is an international non-profit community of artists, curators, galleries, educators, engineers, developers, researchers, art lovers, and everyone who share interests in art and building the decentralised world of art + tech.

We aim to be a place for creative minds to come together to make true connection, learn new things, experiment, enjoy themselves and have fun together through arts. We believe that art, has power to inspired and move people’s hearts. Art can be one of the important factors for crypto mass adoption especially for people with non-technical background. Art is the great communication tools to convey great ideas in the world as well as the best innovation playground. We encourage and support collaboration between art and technology.

Gumi in Japanese means “gang / group / league” as well as “gummy candy.”

Members & membership

Currently, we have 100+ members from different parts of the world who are artists, curators, designers, developers, educators, engineers, galleries, incubators, researchers, AI specialists, and art lovers.

New members are accepted through friends of friends basis, invitation, as well as open application (but we have our members voted on new applicants no one knows to prevent possible bad actors and scammers).
